Bully boys, INEOS, are causing trouble in yet another location. Not content with the refusal of planning permission – twice – from the borough council, they are now taking their dash for gas to a Public Inquiry. This means the tiny village of Woodsetts, is faced with a global chemical company in a quasi-legal setting, where power and money are weighted against the community. They need your support. Can you help?

With just *10* days to go until for the community to raise their target of £10,000, they still need donations to help secure their legal team. Woodsetts residents have worked tirelessly against anti-democratic INEOS, who are intent on pushing their presence on an unwilling community.

INEOS’s plans for the fracking site lie just 420 metres from elderly, unwell and vulnerable residents housed in council bungalows. Why should residents have to be forced to accept a polluting industry, quite literally, on their doorstep: the site entrance is just 44 metres from their property and in some cases, it’s only 20 metres away.

This fact was raised at the last planning determination meeting. INEOS’s response was, shockingly:

“No specific consideration is needed to be given to the residents of Berne Square over and above people living elsewhere.”

More confirmation that the fracking industry is willing to put themselves before residents and communities, for pollution and profit.

Here’s how you can support the folk of Woodsetts:
